He/Him

Michael, originally from Chicago, is a Manhattan-based actor, director, and coach with a deep passion for acting training and classical theatre. His work spans performance, directing, and mentorship, with a particular emphasis on empowering emerging artists to find truth, precision, and emotional connection in their craft.

Selected theatre credits include Con in Stupid Fcking Bird (Riverside Park, New York City, dir. Tom Costello), Hal in Henry IV, Parts 1 & 2 (Stag and Lion, Trinity Theatre, New York City), and the New York City premiere of George Kaplan (Bridge Production Group, The New Ohio), where his performances have been praised for their intelligence, depth, and clarity.

As the Artistic Director of New American Ensemble, a classical theatre company based in New York, Michael has directed acclaimed productions of The Duchess of Malfi and The Brothers Karamazov, leading bold and textually driven interpretations that prioritize storytelling, ensemble, and accessibility. He is a devoted student of Brian McManamon and applies this rigorous foundation to his work both as an artist and teacher.

Michael has coached actors toward admission at many of the world’s top undergraduate and graduate acting programs, helping them develop the technical strength and artistic confidence needed to excel in high-stakes auditions. His coaching style is grounded, compassionate, and tailored to each individual, blending classical technique with practical tools for success in today’s industry.
