Matías is a Peruvian actor, singer, and theatre-maker based in New York City. His Broadway credits include Ensemble and Lancelot du Lac (understudy) in Camelot (Lincoln Center Theatre, Broadway), a Tony-nominated production. Regional theatre credits include Les Misérables (The Muny, St. Louis, MO) and Romeó y Julieta Limeño (NC Black Rep, Charlotte, NC), which he also wrote and directed. He served as Associate Director to Moisés Kaufman on Las Aventuras De Juan Planchard.
On television, Matías appeared in Your Friends and Neighbors (Apple TV+). He is an artist in residence at New Perspectives Theatre, developing new works including Mirrors, Bodas De Sangre (adaptation), and Romeó y Julieta Limeño.
Matías coaches in audition preparation, monologues, Shakespeare, musical theatre, on-camera techniques, and industry skills, welcoming students who speak Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
