He/Him

Mackenzie Bykowski is a New York City–based teaching artist specializing in vocal pedagogy, voice rehabilitation, and vocal health. Originally from southwestern Connecticut, he has dedicated his career to working closely with singers recovering from vocal injuries, providing specialized techniques to support their healing and vocal resilience. Mackenzie also serves as a referral vocal technician for the NYU Voice Center, collaborating with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for vocalists.

After experiencing a vocal injury himself while preparing for the role of Tony in West Side Story, Mackenzie developed a profound interest in the intricate functional mechanics of singing and the vital role that knowledgeable vocal instructors play in a singer’s rehabilitation process.

His independent study focused on creating a business-oriented approach to vocalist health, highlighting the importance of empathy, communication, and personalized guidance in helping singers reconnect with their voices. He emphasizes how deeply a singer’s voice is tied to their sense of identity and strives to help artists discover their most balanced and authentic sound.

Mackenzie’s private clients have performed on national tours and prestigious stages such as Radio City Music Hall, reflecting his reputation as a trusted and effective vocal coach within the professional singing community.
