Julian Abelskamp is an actor based in Los Angeles. He most recently appeared as Toby Darling in The Inheritance (Geffen Playhouse). He spent several seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where his credits include Alien/Nation (directed by Michael Arden), Taiga in the Berkshires, Faded: A Calypso, and A Legendary Romance (directed by Lonny Price). Other theatre credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Classical Theatre of Harlem), Tomorrow Will Be Sunday (Chautauqua Theatre Company), and Voices from a Pandemic (Chautauqua/Notch Theatre). Favorite roles at Columbia University include Moscow x6 by Halley Feiffer, Measure for Measure, and Uncle Vanya.

As an educator, Julian has served as adjunct faculty at Columbia University’s MFA program during the Spring 2023 and 2024 semesters, coaching 2nd and 3rd year productions. He has also worked with ASTEP (now Arts Ignite!) and completed the Roundabout Theatre Company Teaching Artist Training Program.

Julian is passionate about using the body to unlock an actor’s full potential and enjoys sharing his knowledge with fellow artists.
