Julia is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She performed as Judy in A Chorus Line (U.S. National Tour), featuring Michael Bennett’s original choreography set by Baayork Lee. Her regional theatre credits include performances at Paper Mill Playhouse (Millburn, NJ), Sacramento Music Circus (Sacramento, CA), Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (Pittsburgh, PA), Atlanta Theatre of the Stars (Atlanta, GA), Cape Playhouse (Dennis, MA), Transcendence Theatre Company (Sonoma, CA), American Pops Orchestra (Pennsylvania), and Pennsylvania Centre Stage (Harrisburg, PA).
On television, Julia has appeared in Live From Lincoln Center: A Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch (PBS) and in Billy on the Street (FUSE). She brings a strong foundation in both dance and vocal performance, having trained extensively in ballet, musical theatre, and contemporary styles.
Julia’s pre-professional training includes time at the Grand Rapids Ballet, Michigan’s only professional ballet company, and the Grand Rapids Academy of Performing Arts. She was also a member of Dave Clemmons’ vocal ensemble at Ann Reinking’s Broadway Theatre Project.
Passionate about education, Julia currently teaches, directs, and choreographs in New York City and surrounding areas for several schools, including Marymount School of New York, AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy), and Broadway Kids Auditions (BKA). She is committed to nurturing the next generation of performers with a blend of discipline, creativity, and industry insight.
