Jason Gotay is an actor, director, and teaching artist born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In 2025, he starred opposite Jeremy Jordan in Floyd Collins at Lincoln Center Theater, earning a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Performance. His Broadway and stage credits include the original Broadway cast of Bring It On: The Musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), and the world premieres of Disney’s Freaky Friday, The Prince of Egypt, and A Bronx Tale.
Additional stage credits include the world premiere of Teeth at Playwrights Horizons and New World Stages, his autobiographical solo show Where You’ll Find Me at the Minetta Lane Theatre (available on Audible), Evita (City Center/Encores), A Little Night Music in Concert alongside Cynthia Erivo at Lincoln Center, and Renascence (Transport Group). His film and television credits include Gossip Girl (HBO Max), Peter Pan Live! (NBC), and Spoiler Alert (Focus Features). He has also performed solo cabaret acts at renowned New York venues including The Green Room 42, Le Poisson Rouge, Soho House, and Tavern on the Green.
As an educator, Jason has taught master classes and workshops for The Broadway Workshop, Broadway Dreams Foundation, Actor Therapy, the Roger Rees Awards, and numerous arts programs across the country. He has also developed and taught courses for his alma mater, Marymount Manhattan College. In 2016, he co-founded Exit II Theater Company with a mission to provide high-quality arts programming to his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. Jason is deeply committed to fostering a supportive, inspiring, and creatively challenging environment where students are empowered to grow as artists and embrace their authentic selves.
