She/Her
Jacklyn Klimczak is a Chicago-based teaching artist and versatile musician with a rich educational background and a deep passion for vocal technique. She holds a dual Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Splitting her time between Chicago and New York City, Jacklyn maintains a private voice and piano studio and teaches professionally at a range of institutions. She has also served as adjunct faculty at NYU Steinhardt. As a crossover specialist, her work spans opera, musical theatre, pop, choral music, and folk, and she is dedicated to helping singers cultivate a balance of artistry, technical skill, and vocal health across genres.
Jacklyn’s training has been strongly influenced by acclaimed American soprano Harolyn Blackwell. Her performance credits include Mrs. Halloran/Pasha in A Catered Affair at NYU, where she collaborated with John Bucchino and Harvey Fierstein, as well as an Off-Broadway interactive production with Bated Breath Theatre in New York City. She has been featured as a soloist performing arias, scenes, and concert repertoire with orchestra, and has appeared as both a soloist and chorister at Carnegie Hall with the New York Lyric Opera. Additional credits include starring in Side by Side by Sondheim with FourStarArts in Chicago and performing roles such as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Amy (Company), Blanche de la Force (Dialogues of the Carmelites), and Cinderella (Into the Woods). A competition-winning vocalist, Jacklyn has recorded choral works and demo tracks for new musicals, and has toured throughout the Midwest with a nonprofit organization bringing opera and musical theatre to rural schools.
