Hardy is a Broadway veteran, theatre professor, director, and meditation teacher. He received his BFA in Musical Theatre from Florida State University. He’s performed on Broadway and national tours with hit shows such as The Book of Mormon (Elder Weaver/Yoda/Jeffrey Dahmer/Elder McKinley & Joseph Smith understudy), A Chorus Line (Bobby), CATS (Skimbleshanks), and Footloose. He was also recently back on Broadway with fellow MTCA faculty members Julia Freyer Gleason and David Grindrod for a one-night-only 50th anniversary celebration of A Chorus Line. Hardy has performed at regional theaters around the country, including Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Seaside Music Theatre, Tulane Summer Lyric, and Gateway Playhouse. He has also sung with orchestras around the world, including a recent concert series in Brazil with the Camerata Symphony Orchestra. As a teenager, Hardy attended the legendary Ann Reinking’s Broadway Theatre Project, where he studied with the legend herself.
Hardy is also a passionate theatre educator. He was a professor at Loyola University in New Orleans, where he specialized in courses on audition technique and performance. He’s taught masterclasses at high schools and universities around the country along with being a regular masterclass instructor and adjudicator at the Florida State Thespian Festival, one of the largest educational theatre festivals in the world. Hardy is also incredibly passionate about meditation and sustainability in the creative training process. He lived in the Himalayas, where he studied with Vedic Masters to become a teacher of Vedic Meditation. He’s trained and mentored Broadway actors, pro athletes, CEOs, and performers of all sorts in meditation and personal development. Hardy has also gone to numerous college theatre programs to infuse meditation into their training process and show students how best to thrive in this wonderful, demanding industry.
