Calvin has appeared on Broadway in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club and Fat Ham. Off-Broadway credits include The Miser (Molière in the Park), The Animal Kingdom (The Connelly), and Fat Ham (The Public Theater; Obie Award). He toured nationally in Sweat (Public Theater’s Mobile National Tour).

Regional theatre credits include multiple productions at Actor’s Theater of Louisville and Clarence Brown Theatre, as well as work at Long Wharf Theatre and Shakespeare on the Sound. On television, Calvin held recurring roles on The Underground Railroad (Amazon) and The Deuce (HBO), and guest-starred on High Maintenance (HBO).

Film credits include Benny & James (Best Cast – Diversity in Cannes), Paper Friends, Better Man (Best Actor in Short at Queens World Film Festival), RSVP, and Surprise. Calvin has also taught and assisted at Lincoln Center Theater, The American Brass Quintet, Actor’s Theater of Louisville, StArt Osceola (Kissimmee, FL), University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and The Stage School (Brooklyn).
