Blake is an actor, educator, and a Capricorn. 

Blake first appeared on Broadway in Slave Play during his last semester at Juilliard, and then Take Me Out after graduation. Select Off-Broadway work includes The Glory of the World (BAM), Play On! Shakespeare Festival (Classic Stage Company + Oregon Shakespeare), and new play workshops with NYTW, MTC, EST, Roundabout, Page 73, and The Lark. Favorite Regional work includes two world premieres at The Humana Festival of New American Plays, performing with Manual Cinema for NPR’s Storycorps, and so much storefront theater in Chicago.

As an educator, he’s subbed at NYU, taught for Opening Act’s Summer Conservatory, and coaches auditions regularly. As a student, Blake has studied with Bob Krakower, HB Studio, School at Steppenwolf, the Actors Theatre of Louisville Apprenticeship, The Mad Ones, SAIC Performance, SITI Company, and others.

As an artistic director, Blake was awarded grant awards for developing free wellness workshops at Juilliard called Self Care Saturdays, co-productions with the inter-collegiate Black student initiative HomeBase Theater Collective, and as co-founder for the Chicago Home Theater Festival which transformed over 60 homes into temporary theaters for 600+ artists and 3,000+ guests.
