Baize received her BA in Drama from Vassar College and her MFA from the Yale School of Drama, with additional training at the Moscow Art Theater and School at Steppenwolf.
She made her Broadway debut as an original cast member of Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird, and later made her Broadway principal debut as Scout Finch opposite Greg Kinnear’s Atticus Finch. She has worked on productions, workshops, and readings off-Broadway and regionally with Page 73, Playwrights Horizons, New York Stage and Film, The New Group, Compagnia de Colombari, What Will The Neighbors Say, Arena Stage, Steppenwolf, and more. Film and television credits include Being The Ricardos, the starring role in the SXSW Narrative Competition selection Our Father, the indie feature Nobody’s Home, NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” Apple TV+’s “Your Friends and Neighbors”, and the upcoming Netflix feature The 99’ers.
Baize is a resident company member of The Actors Center and a proud volunteer for Experience Camps, a one-week no-cost summer camp for grieving children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver.
