Baize is a New York based actress and coach. She received her BA in Drama from Vassar College and her MFA from the Yale School of Drama, with additional training at the Moscow Art Theater and School at Steppenwolf.
Between college and graduate school, Baize lived and worked in Chicago, collaborating with companies including Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens, and Jackalope. After leaving grad school she moved to NYC, making her Broadway debut as an original cast member of Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird, and later making her Broadway principal debut as Scout Finch opposite Greg Kinnear’s Atticus Finch. She has worked on productions, workshops, and readings off-Broadway and regionally with Page 73, Arena Stage, New York Stage and Film, Fake Friends, and Yale Repertory Theatre. Film and television credits include Being The Ricardos, the starring role in the SXSW Narrative Competition selection Our Father, NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” the indie feature Nobody’s Home, and Apple TV+’s Your Friends and Neighbors.
Baize is also a proud volunteer for Experience Camps, a one-week no-cost summer camp for grieving children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver.
