Anna an actor, playwright, and teacher. She received her B.A. in English from Harvard University and recently graduated from UC Irvine’s MFA in Acting program.
As an actor, Anna most recently played Gloria/Nan in Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins Gloria (UC Irvine). Other academic credits include: Cabaret (Fräulein Schneider) and The Bald Soprano (Mrs. Martin). Regionally, Anna recently played Olivia in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at The New Swan Shakespeare Festival. Other regional credits include: Water, Water, Everywhere and Gruesome Playground Injuries (ISLE Theater Company.)
As a playwright, Anna’s play Quit Bitchin’ received a fully staged production as part of UC Irvine’s Mainstage season, and her new adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor will premiere next summer at The New Swan Shakespeare Festival.
Anna is also an experienced and versatile teacher and writing coach. Anna has taught undergraduates at UC Irvine and high schoolers all around San Diego. Students that she has coached on their college essays have been accepted to top-tier schools including: MIT, Cornell, UCLA, Emory, Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, UCSD, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Harvey Mudd and more.
