Ali Gordon was born and raised in New York City and currently resides in Los Angeles. She is a writer, performer, and lyricist with a multifaceted career spanning theater, comedy, and publishing.
As a performer, Ali has appeared regionally at theaters including The Weston Playhouse (Weston, VT), where she first met fellow MTCA coach Josh Daniel. She toured with the musical theatre company Team StarKid (National Tour), and has performed Off-Broadway. Ali is also a veteran performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (Los Angeles), where she regularly appears in improv, sketch, and musical improv shows.
Ali is an accomplished musical theatre writer. Her original musical Gross Prophets premiered at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Australia), and she was the first student in her university’s history to have a self-written musical produced as a fully staged University Production. Her lyrics have been featured in marketing campaigns, award shows, and original music projects.
In addition to her stage work, Ali has been seen in numerous commercial campaigns and continues to create original comedic content. Her debut novel is scheduled for publication in September 2025. Ali is passionate about storytelling in all forms and is thrilled to support and mentor young performers as they develop their voices and find their place in the industry.
