Alexia Acebo is a Tampa native and NYC based performer, teacher, and choreographer. After growing up in the competitive dance world with Summers spent at The Joffrey Ballet School and Orlando Ballet School, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from The University of Alabama. Her professional career began with Norwegian Cruise Lines as an aerialist and dancer before making the move to NYC. Upon arrival, she soon joined the National Tour of Chicago, the musical, playing Annie (ensemble) and understudying the role of Velma. Halted by the 2020 shutdown, she returned home to Tampa for a while to pursue teaching again as well as begin her business, a women’s wellness health coaching startup called THE BKFST CLUB. In the interim, she was a featured dancer in Marcus Mumford and Major Lazer’s “Lay Your Head on Me” music video choreographed and directed by Ryan Heffington. Upon returning to New York, Alexia moved into TV & Film as a featured dancer on EPIX Bridge & Tunnel, choreographed by Jason Williams. After this, she spent the summer at The Muny in St. Louis in On Your Feet! directed by Maggie Burrows and choreographed by William Carlos Angulo. Alexia then performed on the Broadway National Tour of Wicked as a part of the ensemble, playing the role of the Witch’s Mother. Most recently, Alexia was seen in Houston Grand Opera’s West Side Story and the stage at Radio City Music Hall for NBC’s Upfronts.

Alexia takes pride in being able to share a variety of professional experiences with artists to equip them with the tools necessary to succeed in this industry, rooted primarily in sound work ethic and treating people well. She feels blessed to be in the studio with dancers, singers, and actors, training and creating, giving back what this art form has so generously given her! @alexiaacebocarter
