Alexia Acebo is a Tampa native and NYC-based performer, teacher, and choreographer. She began her training in the competitive dance world, spending summers at The Joffrey Ballet School and Orlando Ballet School.
Her professional career began with Norwegian Cruise Line as an aerialist and dancer, and she soon transitioned into musical theatre, joining the ensemble (u/s Velma) of Chicago (National Tour). Since then, Alexia has built a dynamic career across stage and screen, with theatre credits including Wicked (National Tour), On Your Feet! (The Muny), West Side Story (Houston Grand Opera), and recent appearances in White Christmas and Jesus Christ Superstar (Broadway at Music Circus).
She has also appeared on NBC’s Upfronts at Radio City Music Hall and in Bridge & Tunnel (EPIX), and was featured in Marcus Mumford and Major Lazer’s “Lay Your Head on Me” (dir. Ryan Heffington).
As an educator, Alexia is deeply passionate about guiding young artists through the audition process and into this industry with confidence, clarity, and a strong work ethic. She values creating a supportive, collaborative environment where students feel both challenged and encouraged, and is grateful to give back to the art form that has shaped her career.
