Alexia Acebo is a Tampa native and New York City–based performer, teacher, and choreographer. After training extensively in competitive dance and studying at The Joffrey Ballet School and Orlando Ballet School, she began her professional career as an aerialist and dancer with Norwegian Cruise Lines before relocating to NYC.
She joined the National Tour of Chicago (U.S. National Tour) as an ensemble member and understudied the role of Velma. During the 2020 shutdown, Alexia returned to Tampa to teach and launch her women’s wellness health coaching business, THE BKFST CLUB. She was featured as a dancer in Marcus Mumford and Major Lazer’s music video for “Lay Your Head on Me,” choreographed and directed by Ryan Heffington.
Her television and film work includes featured dancing on Bridge & Tunnel (EPIX), choreographed by Jason Williams. Regionally, she appeared in On Your Feet! at The Muny (St. Louis, MO), directed by Maggie Burrows and choreographed by William Carlos Angulo. Alexia also performed in the ensemble and as the Witch’s Mother on the National Tour of Wicked (U.S. National Tour).
Most recently, she appeared in West Side Story at Houston Grand Opera and performed at Radio City Music Hall for NBC’s Upfronts. Passionate about sharing her diverse professional experience, Alexia is dedicated to equipping artists with the skills and work ethic necessary to succeed in the industry while giving back to the art form that has given her so much.
