He/Him
Dan Corica is a New York City–based voice teacher, coach, music director, and accompanist who specializes in musical theater. He has been teaching voice since 2013 and works with a wide range of students, from beginners to working performers. His students have successfully booked work in regional productions, touring companies, and on Broadway.
Dan is currently on the faculty of the B.F.A. Theater Arts program at Molloy University/CAP21 Conservatory, where he teaches Vocal Performance and private voice lessons. He previously served as an adjunct instructor at NYU Steinhardt, where he completed his graduate studies in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy.
As a performer and musician, Dan has appeared at venues such as The Bitter End, 54 Below, and Town Hall, and toured nationally with TheaterworksUSA. His music directing and accompanist work includes productions at Green Room 42, the Columbia School of the Arts Directing M.F.A. Program, and Spring Awakening at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. He has also performed across the country as a member of the children’s music project Miss Tutti and the Frutti Band; their album Confidence Juice is available on all streaming platforms.
Dan is passionate about helping students build a strong, reliable vocal technique that allows them to feel confident and expressive in their singing. He believes that singing should feel consistent and grounded—not like guesswork—and works closely with students to develop tools they can trust in both auditions and performance.
In addition to vocal technique, Dan enjoys helping students connect their acting work to their singing so that performances feel specific, honest, and engaging. He understands how overwhelming the audition and college process can feel, and aims to make the experience clear, supportive, and empowering for both students and their families. He takes a holistic approach to the college audition process and is committed to helping students find programs that support their growth as both artists and human beings.
