Rachel is a voice teacher, music director and producer, newly (and proudly!) located in NYC!
Rachel has sat on the creative team & casting panel for dozens of musical productions, with standouts including Spring Awakening, Falsettos, and Ragtime (MTC), Rent (M&T Bank Exchanges INAUGURAL MUSICAL!), and Spelling Bee at Compass Rose Theatre, for which she was Helen Hayes nominated for Best Music Direction.
A graduate of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins & James Madison University, Rachel holds two degrees in vocal pedagogy and performance. She has spent the last 15 years teaching and coaching musical theatre performers of all ages and skill levels, and now runs a vocal studio in NYC, where she is so fortunate to work with professional actors on a daily basis.
Rachels high school students have gone on to pursue musical theatre degrees all over the country, at schools including Carnegie Mellon, Marymount Manhattan, Pace, Texas State, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Syracuse, CCM and more. She prides herself in providing professional level training in a safe, warm and fun environment!
