Nicholas Ranauro is a New York City–based director, choreographer, dancer, and educator. His creative credits include director and choreographer of Curious George and The Golden Meatball, choreographer of Children of Eden (Broadway in Chicago), and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. His work has been featured at Dance Lab NY, Dancebreak, Steps on Broadway Conservatory, Houston Contemporary, and the 92nd Street Y.
Performance credits include Black No More; a New Musical (choreographed by Bill T. Jones), The Phantom of the Opera (25th Anniversary Tour), Brigadoon (Encores!, directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (National Tour, directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler), iLuminate (Malaysia Residency), Keigwin & Company, Elf The Musical (Tour), and Seeing You (Immersive, directed and choreographed by Ryan Heffington).
Teaching credits include Indiana University Musical Theatre (Spring 2023), The Joffrey Ballet School, and New York Community Ballet. Nicholas is a certified expert in functional movement with training in Pilates and GYROTONIC®, developed after recovering from two meniscus tears.
