Michelle is an actress, director, producer, and teaching artist based in New York City. Her screen work includes recurring roles on Power Book II: Ghost (Starz) and Luke Cage (Netflix), with appearances on Fleishman Is in Trouble (Hulu), The Good Fight (CBS), Eric (Netflix), Manifest (NBC), Claws (TNT), Homeland (Showtime), and Madam Secretary (CBS). Film credits include Ovum, Ambition’s Debt, Death of a Prince, and Spinning Into Butter.
Her theatre credits span Broadway, Off-Broadway, and international work, including A Raisin in the Sun (Broadway); Hurricane Diane (New York Theatre Workshop); Richard III and Love’s Labour’s Lost (Public Theater); A Kid Like Jake (LCT3); As You Like It and The Tempest (BAM/Old Vic – The Bridge Project); Much Ado About Nothing (Theater for a New Audience); Measure for Measure (Epic Theatre Ensemble); The Changeling (Red Bull); Uncle Vanya (Pearl); The Sentinels (59E59); and Start Up (German Theater Abroad). As a filmmaker, she wrote, directed, and produced The Snakes (HBO Max), and her award-winning film The Traumatist—starring Robert Picardo and Amelia Workman—is on the festival circuit. Her company, Beck to the Future Films, creates socially conscious films featured by Vogue, Condé Nast, Milk Makeup, Vimeo Staff Pick, Short of the Week, and Alter.
Michelle teaches acting at all levels, including at the Public Theater, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Baltimore Center Stage, American Conservatory Theater, TheatreWorks, Epic Theatre Ensemble, and currently at CAP21.
