Frequently Asked Questions
Why participate in masterclasses?
These are classes. Not auditions! This incredible weekend is designed for you to grow artistically with your material, while also making an early connection with these teachers, both professionally and personally. It’s a big perk when you know the teacher entering your auditions in the regular season. Consequently, teachers often remember you from our masterclasses. You’ll participate with each teacher, observe the different sensibilities within teaching styles, and immerse yourself with your peers; allowing the teacher to observe (separate from your actual audition) your interest and commitment for the school. Many of our alumni students have found these masterclasses very beneficial to boost confidence for their actual audition for each school, as well as make great conversation starters for the beginning of their auditions. Even if a school represented during the weekend is not on your current audition school list, take advantage of their artistic excellence in assisting you to build your material. And you may add the school to your audition list!
